It all started when I was just five years old...

On a summer vacation, my family stopped in Plymouth to see the historic Plymouth Rock. My parents had given me a small child's camera for my birthday, which was attached to my wrist with an elastic strap. Eager to take my first shot, I stopped, took aim at the sky, and quickly snapped a photo of a sea gull mid-flight. Both of my parents chuckled, and said that the bird had been flying so fast that they were sure that I couldn't have gotten a photograph of it. I, on the other hand, was just as sure that I had.

When the developed film was picked up, there, dead center on the print, was my sea gull, just as clear as the toy camera was capable of capturing. My parents, floored, both say that they knew that day exactly what I would be when I grew up.

After graduating High School, I earned a degree in Graphic Design, and immediately took a job for a large circulation magazine, where I refined my skills with Photoshop, Illustrator, and other graphics programs. I continued with my design career for 13 years, before taking a summer photography course, and finding my true passion in life. With a deep passion for nature and landscape photography, I have been lucky enough to travel to many different places, my favorite of which being the enchanting Hawaiian Islands. The magic and serenity of these islands is one of the many things that I hope to capture through my camera lens, and share with the world.

My affinity for children has led me to Portrait Photography, and I now run a private portrait studio in Richmond, Rhode Island. Photographing children, pets, and families has been one of the biggest joys of my life, and I look forward to a long career doing exactly what I love.

In 2014, my photograph titled "Morning Glory" was selected as a Finalist in Nikon's Best of College Photography 2014 Contest, and was featured as a Finalist Artist in the hardcover Nikon's Best of College Photography 2014 book. As an added bonus, my photograph titled "Banyan Heaven" was chosen as a Finalist in Nikon's Best of Photography 2014 Contest, and was printed in the hardcover Nikon's Best of Photography 2014 book.

In 2017, I was selected to receive an Artist Grant from the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (Mass MoCA), and attended many educational course offered as part of my grant. I was so exciting to work with such a wonderful association, and I am so thankful for all that they have taught me, and for the guidance that they continue to offer me.

I hope that you enjoy my work, and I invite you to visit my studio or join me on location for a session with your family. Thank you so much for joining me, and sharing in my passion.
